DRUM receives funding towards some of the salaries of our part time staff from Hertfordshire County Council (Adult Care Services).  Due to government cuts, DRUM funding is the same as it was in 2006!  Despite this, and through sheer hard work, DRUM has managed to increase activities and services.  All other expenditure is funded by DRUM, through membership fees, donations, fundraising and small grant applications.

DRUM has to raise at least £50,000 a year to continue services at the current level. This amount would be much higher if not for the amazing dedication of our team and the support of the local community. All DRUM staff work many additional hours on a voluntary basis.

Tutors are employed to lead the planned activity sessions but their tuition fees are reduced and they all work additional hours on a voluntary basis.   Volunteers are on hand to support staff and assist members during all the activities, recreational and social events at DRUM.  Some workshops (drama, music, sport and dance) are delivered by other organisations at DRUM, depending on available funding.DRUM does not employ fundraising, marketing, catering or cleaning staff, these duties are all carried out by staff and volunteers unpaid.  Local businesses support DRUM with services such as printing and supplying fundraising merchandise, either cheaper or free of charge.

If you would like to organise a fundraiser for DRUM then please contact Sarah Sullivan Tel: 01923 442114 or email drumwatford@btinternet.com

Huge thanks to everyone that has supported DRUM
